The Art of Influence: Breaking Criminal Traditions is a fine art exhibition created to raise awareness of global criminal traditions. Criminal traditions are ancient, ongoing rituals that kill or maim millions each year, yet are rarely considered crimes. They include honor killing, child marriage, acid attacks, bride burning and more. Each piece of art included in the Breaking Criminal Traditions exhibition-has been selected to allude to the issues without being overtly obvious. The content of the show walks a blurred line between the horrifying reality of the world in which we live and the intense beauty of empowerment and freedom. In creating awareness and beginning a dialogue, we can support those affected by encouraging change-change that can only come from within each culture.
