On December 19, 2012, 3c Wear celebrated its second Inspired Giving Day at the Franklin Park Community Center, Illinois in partnership with Iglesia del Pueblo. 3c Wear distributed school supply kits to local children in need. This event gathered families from the community who came to enjoy an evening of Christmas cheers. Children of all ages decorated ginger bread cookies with chocolate chip, sprinkles, gummy bears and other kinds of sweets provided by the church community. Families also enjoyed a variety of snacks and refreshments while enjoying the holiday spirit.
School supplies were distributed by 3c Wear’s co-founder Yanina Gomez who enjoyed making conversations with each child as they received their school supply kit. Each kit included a personalized card sent by individuals who participated in 3c Wear’s “Show You Care Campaign”. The cards included uplifting messages intended to encourage children to pursue their dreams through education. The children were very excited to receive their school supply kit along with the cards written exclusively for them.
Special thanks to Iglesia del Pueblo and all its volunteers who made this event a successful experience.
Each school supply kit includes: Crayons 24/box, Precision Tip Scissors 5 1/2″, Pink Eraser, #2 Pencils 12/box, Round Pencil Sharpener, 12” Plastic Ruler, Glue, Glue Stick, 2-Pocket Portfolio, Multipurpose Box (9” x 6” x 3”), and Spiral Notebook 70 Sheets.
3c Wear collaborates with artists from Chicago and abroad to create exclusive Limited Edition tops for 3c Wear. The sale of each top provides a school supply kit to a local child in need. We thank artists InJung Oh Zhoushi, Mario Gonzalez Jr and Mary Bookwalter for making this possible! Thanks to their creative work, ART GIVES BACK!
Sincerely,
Sergio & Yanina Gomez
