Also, do not miss the opening of The Feel of Color. The Feel of Color is a dynamic exhibition that displays the use of color as contemporary mark-making. From thin glazes, and transparencies, to thick and juicy paint marks, this exhibit fosters a welcoming spring tone to the area. On display will be collage, paintings, ceramics, ceramic/glass murals, colorful artist-made jewelry, and found objects that create an exciting investigation of colorful energy.
In addition,an installation piece titled Urban Mining was created especially for The Feel of Color exhibition. The concept is to excavate Urban environments for materials that may be re-purposed for art making. By treating color as both image and material, the installation encapsulates feelings that may emerge with different color options.
