ArtMoncao’15 begins July 19th. Meet the Irreversible Artists!

IRREVERSIBLE PROJECTS

Art Monaco 2015

From July 9th – 12th, 2015, art enthusiasts and those lusting after luxury are of the most opulent global art shows to grace the French Riviera – Art Monaco’15. Monaco, the world’s second smallest country, is best known for its royal opulence and the twentieth century reign of Prince Rainier and his son Prince Albert II.

“Inspiration awakens us to new possibilities by allowing us to transcend our ordinary experiences and limitations. Inspiration propels a person from apathy to possibility, and transforms the way we perceive our own capabilities. Inspiration may sometimes be overlooked because of its elusive nature. Its history of being treated as supernatural or divine hasn’t helped the situation. But as recent research shows, inspiration can be activated, captured, and manipulated, and it has a major effect on important life outcomes.”

Alejandro Mendoza
My enviroment are constants in my aesthetic proposal, which is tied to the parallel need to understand common sense and making my interpretation of it more or less acceptable or understandable. Creating is the experience of being constantly unsatisfied. When this happens, I should redo and lie to myself again.

Rafael E. Rodriguez B

6666 is a spectacular and hypnotic installation that combines
photography, architecture and music to attain an impossible objective: to
capture time. Rodríguez documented four years of travels through 6666
still pictures, edited them to the pace of a musical score built upon 6666
musical notes, and projected them inside a floating cube. To experience
6666 is to live a vast range of stories, spaces and moods within a few
minutes. Spectators are literally involved by images that go from the
purely abstract to the intimate, and yet are masterfully held together by a
profound sense of symmetry; as if time was arrested inside the cube and
freed every time a person steps inside.

Natalya Kochak

Natalya Kochak was born in New York into a large half Ukranian family. Her father is a Scientist and her mother is a Journalist and mother of five children. She graduated with my BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2005 and currently resides in Miami. In 2010, she received a residency with the Red Gate Gallery in Beijing and in 2011 traveled to Berlin for a 3 month residency with Takt Kunstprojektraum. She also raised money through Kickstarter to teach art in Uganda for 2 months. While there I worked on my own projects and created a community mural with my students. The orphans are extremely disadvantaged. “They have lost parents. They haven’t gone to school.

Sally Ko

Seoul, Korea in 1971, the artist immigrated to the United States with her family when she was two years old. She grew up in the city and north suburbs of Chicago and now lives in Chicago. She has attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the American Academy of Art. As a young immigrant girl growing up in a Korean household, Sally was the object of competition – both between Korean and her new US culture. Her varying styles — ranging from figurative to abstract, from minimalist to busily complex – are a continuation of this attempt to express herself in a manner accessible to everyone.

UNIQUE PIECES
YARN is such an ancient art that its origins are lost in the mists of time. That’s not an exaggeration; the oldest recovered artifacts made with ‘yarn’ are string skirts that date up to 20,000 years ago.
