There is so much to see in such a little time during Art Miami Basel weekend but here is a brief of my activities since I arrived in Miami. I’m hanging out with my good friend Mario Gonzalez Jr. aka ZORE.
My first night in Miami we hit the VIP reception for Verge Miami meeting with the Chicago crowd.
The next day we hit the road early and started at Miami River Art Fair where we met great people and in a short time we built relationship and possible collaboration with artists in Mexico. Miami River had a strong international presence.
After that we hit SELECT Art Fair and met with Kathleen Waterloo and the Chicago crowd showing work by Kathleen, Ginny Sykes, Bobbi Meier, Michelle Stone and Sonata Kazimieraitiene.
Next stop was Red Dot Art Fair. Within the fair was Art Spot, a special project of Aldo Castillo. We met with Aldo to talk about future collaboration projects and networked with the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art for future projects in 2013. Very excited about the future after Art Spot.
Last and longer stop was at Wynwood and the urban art scene of the graffiti writers. It was like icing on the cake of an incredible great and productive day.
